
Bryant & Stratton College (WI) suffers defeat in closing seconds
Last second 3-pointer ends Bobcats' winning streak
MT. PLEASANT, Mich. — Vontez Dent led all Bryant & Stratton College (WI) players with 20 points during Tuesday night's 82-81 loss at Mid Michigan.
Daniel Sykes added 13 points in the effort.
James Wright scored 22 points, De'Antre Griffin scored 15, and Jaden Clark scored 16 to help Mid Michigan (5-3) to its fifth win of the young 2024-25 season.
The Bobcats trailed by four points at the end of the first half, but they came off the locker strong and stormed to an eight-point lead in the opening five minutes of the second half.
The Bobcats led by as much as 10 during the second half, and with 1:35, a 10-point lead by the Bobcats quickly diminished as a pair of turnovers allowed the Lakers to hit consecutive 3-point baskets to trim the lead to four.
Bryant & Stratton led 81-79 with 18 seconds left, but an over-and-back call gave the ball back to the Lakers, and they hit a deep 3-pointer to win 82-81.
