
(February 2, 2025) Youngsville, Louisiana - After a pair of wins yesterday, the ladies returned to the Youngsville Sports Complex this morning to take on #4 Northwest Florida State College.
The game started off good for the Bucks. It would be tied after an inning at 1-1. Kate Daigle (Rayne, LA) hit into a fielder's choice that plated a run, but that would be the only run the ladies would score on the day. Northwest Florida would put up a 6 spot in the top of the second inning and added to their lead in the fourth and fifth innings to win 11-1 in five innings.
Addisyn Wright (Whitesboro, OK) got the start for the Bucks and lasted 1.1 innings. Wright (1-1) evened her season record in the loss. She would strike out a lone hitter, while walking 4 and hitting a pair of batters. Holly Raney (Mayflower, AR) came on and pitched the final 3.2 innings. She would strike out and walk a pair in the outing.
The ladies return to Arkansas going 3-2 at the Mardi Gras Tournament. The Bucks got wins over Southwest Mississippi (5-4), Bishop Community College (9-4), and Baton Rouge Community College (11-2). Besides Northwest Florida State, the ladies lost 3-1 to Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The Bucks will return to action on Saturday, February 7th, against MSU-West Plains. This will be the home opener for the Bucks at Cummings-Cecil Field. First pitch is scheduled for 12 pm in the doubleheader.
