The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats hosted the Guilford Tech Titans in a conference matchup on Saturday and had a quick turn around to host a non-conference matchup against the CCBC Dundalk Lions.
The Bobcats would start the weekend against the Titans looking to claim their first win in the season. It seemed early that the Bobcats would not accomplish that goal as the Titans hit hard and fast jumping out to an early lead and pushing that lead up to 14pts going into halftime, (40-54).
It would be a full effort from everyone in this as the Bobcats would claw back in the second half to take the lead with plenty of time left with help from Kimoni Small who finished with 25pts, 2stl, Kahlil Oden with 19pts, 6ast, 3stl, & Jontez Raspberry with 12pts, 17reb, 4blk (his second double-double of the season). The Bobcats would push to the end with the lead and take the win (87-79).
Game two of the weekend, the Bobcats would take on the Lions, a team of which they faced early last season. The matchup would remain close through the first half as each team would exchange baskets but it would be the Lions who hold the halftime lead up (39-45). Again the Bobcats would have to claw to get back into this game but the Lions had an answer for every attack and would hold off the Bobcats to take the win (80-87).
