
Bryant & Stratton College (WI) falls to No. 5 Kirkwood
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Bryant & Stratton College (WI) men's basketball team traveled to Iowa on Saturday to take the No. 5-ranked Kirkwood Eagles.
The Bobcats aimed to continue their momentum after an overtime win over Rock Valley, but a slow start put the Bobcats behind the eight ball to being the game. They trailed 17-9 with 12:35 remaining in the first half, but the cut the lead to five in two minutes.
But Kirkwood's defense forced key turnovers, and the Eagles carried off those turnovers and took a 35-24 lead into halftime.
Wandy Munoz led all Bryant & Stratton players with eight points in the first half.
Kirkwood opened the second half with a 12-2 run to strengthen its lead. The Eagles would maintain the defensive pressure for the rest of the game and hold the Bobcats to 27 second-half ppoints. The Bobcats committed 22 turnovers due to Kirkwood's defensive effort and fell to 3-2.

Keith Robinson was Bryant & Stratton's leading scorer. He recorded 14 points while grabbing four rebounds.
