The Bucs were led by Troy Dunn who scored 10 points on 5-7 from the field. Hasani Rivera posted a double-double pouring in 12 points while pulling down 11 boards. Two other Bucs posted double figures as Nazir Griffin scored 11 and Tramarian Huguley finished with 10 points.
The Bucs dominated from the beginning, shooting 51% in the first half (20-39), compared to just 27.6% for ASA. Tramarian Huguley scored all 10 of his points in the first half to lead all scorers. "We came out with a sense of urgency tonight on the defensive end, which led to some easy buckets," said head coach Reco Dawson.
The second half saw the Bucs post a 55.6% field goal percentage, while holding ASA to 28%, including 7% from beyond the arc. Nazir Griffin led the way for the Bucs in the 2nd half, scoring all 11 points in the final 20 minutes.
60 of the Bucs 92 points came inside the paint and the Bucs bench chipped in 41 points as every Buc scored in tonight's contest. "Coming out of halftime we set a goal to keep them under 50 points and we were able to meet our goal. We also wanted to limit our turnovers, and we were able to keep that number down as well," said head coach Reco Dawson. The Bucs only turned the ball over 10 times, their second lowest mark of the year.
The Bucs return to action on Thursday, December 5th , as they host East Mississippi at 7:30 PM.
