• The Gators struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a walk, bringing in a score.
• The Bobcats wasted no time responding, as Chris Johnson hit a ground ball and reached first base on an error, bringing home Quarles to tie the game at 1-1.
• In the bottom of the fifth, the Bobcats pulled ahead 2-1 when Ben Malone solo homered to left field.
• The Gators evened things up in the top of the sixth on an RBI double, making it 2-2.
