Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team fell to Kirkwood 55-49 to move to 18-11 overall and 8-9 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.

The Lakers were led by Ashton Hermann with 12 points and Jayden Jones had 10.

Kirkwood was led by Lucas Luth with 12 points.

"Tonight's game might have been the best defensive game I have ever seen in college basketball. We did a tremendous job competing, rotating, and walling up. With that being said you can't turn the ball over 18 times and expect to win a game." Said Head Laker Head Coach Jason McKinney.

The Lakers will host NIACC on Wednesday to wrap up regular season play. Tip for that game will be at 7:30 pm.
