BATAVIA, NY...The Genesee men's lacrosse team was unable to overcome a strong performance from Harford, falling 20-9. Brian Freeman led Genesee with 3 goals on 11 shots, while Landon Jaeckle and Michael Hayes each scored 2 goals. Evan Belter added 1 goal and 2 assists, while James Reif also found the back of the net.
Faceoff specialist Luke Smeader kept Genesee in possession, winning 25 of 31 draws. Defensively, goalies Payton Palizay and Drew Helms combined for 14 saves. The Cougars will look to regroup for their next matchup against Onondoga CC at home om March 19th.
