Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball fell to Marshalltown 78-66 and are now 0-1 on the season.

The Lakers were led by Jhordan Ryan with 15 points. Ryan also grabbed 15 rebounds. Ashton Hermann added 14 points and Jermaine Freeman had 13. Kaden Tate added 14 rebounds.

Marshalltown was led by Antwan Bridgett with 17 points.

Laker Head Men's Basketball Coach Jason McKinney said this about the game. " I have to give Marshalltown credit. They got after us defensively and we didn't handle their pressure. I know this though; you can't turn the ball over 25 times and expect to win a game."

The Lakers will travel to Overland Park, KS next week to take part in the Johnson County Classic. They will play Johnson County in the first game of the classic on Friday. Tip for that contest will be at 7pm.
