The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats got back in the win column as they hosted the Richard Bland Statesmen and the Cleveland Community College Yetis to close out 2024.
The Lady Bobcats secured a decisive 74-55 victory over the Statesmen with a balanced team effort that powered them to a comfortable win. The Bobcats dominated early, building a solid 38-20 halftime lead, and never looked back. Shakerra Reddicks was the standout performer, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Hailey Harris added 17 points, including five three-pointers, to help stretch the lead. Rakyla Jones also had a strong all-around game, contributing 10 rebounds and 10 assists to go with 5 points. The Bobcats shot 41.4% from the field and were efficient from the free-throw line, hitting 81.8%. Strong defensive play and rebounding, with a 40-21 edge on the boards, helped the Bobcats pull away and secure the win.
Shakkera Reddicks earned her 8th double-double of the season and Rakyla Jones earned her 5th double-double of the season.
The Lady Bobcats turned around at the end of the week with a strong 67-56 victory over the Yetis.
The Bobcats held a commanding 40-22 lead at halftime thanks to efficient shooting and strong defensive play. Rakyla Jones led the way with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, while Yvette Sandifer chipped in 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Shakerra Reddicks added 12 points and 11 rebounds. The Bobcats benefited from a balanced attack and solid contributions from the bench, including Wisdom Banks, who scored 12 points. The team shot 51.9% from the field and dominated the boards, outrebounding Cleveland 30-11 to secure a comfortable win.
