Truitt Guides JCC to Perfect Weekend

CLEVELAND, OH - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) women's basketball team pushed their winning streak to three with a pair of wins in the Tri-C tournament.

Jamestown first took down the host team 79-65, behind a game-high 16 points from sophomore Courtney Martin.

She was joined in double-digits by Myla Truitt (15), Tyesha Wilson (14), and Mbali Mhlanga (12).

Mhlanga added a team-high seven rebounds, and transfer Jennica Berens also pulled down five boards. This win pushed JCC's record to 2-1 on the season.

The celebration was short-lived, as the Jayhawks were back on the court less than 18 hours later to face Clark State College.

JCC captured this one 66-58 behind a strong 21-points from freshman Alyson Canfield. Truitt once again hit double-figures with 13.

Mhlanga continued to clean the glass with 14 rebounds in the contest.

Truitt and fellow sophomore Kaleigha Plett led the way with five assists each.

This victory put Jamestown on a three-game winning streak with a 3-1 record.
