NIACC falls to DMACC
MASON CITY - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to DMACC Wednesday night in an ICCAC contest.
DMACC won 25-13, 35-23, 25-14.
"We had some good moments (Wednesday) and then failed to capitalize on opportunities when we had them," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "The inconsistency really played a role in the overall outcome and we will continue to work on that before our final big tournament this weekend."
NIACC's Alicia Machacek had five kills and one block, Emma Miller had five kills, two digs and one block and Megan Tobin had four kills and one block
Also for the Trojans, Kinsey Anderson had eight digs and one ace serve, Destiny Reasner had three digs and one ace serve, Ellie Hanna had four blocks and two kills and Kit Byars had four blocks and one kill.
The Trojans' Kenedee Frayne had 12 assists and four digs, Emily Opstvedt had seven digs and five assists and Alana Burton had three kills and three blocks.
NIACC returns to action Friday and Saturday at the Iowa Central Tournament in Fort Dodge.
