Sharks triumph in Day 1 of FSW Classic
The Miami Dade Sharks made a strong statement in the opening game of the FSW Classic, defeating Victory Rock Prep 95-76 in a dominant performance.
The Sharks took control early, surging to a commanding 53-24 halftime lead. Their aggressive defense stifled Victory Rock , forcing 18 turnovers and limiting scoring opportunities, while the offense clicked with precision. Miami Dade shot 48.1% from the field and recorded 27 assists, underscoring their team-oriented approach.
Hassan Belkhaddar led the way with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including three three-pointers, while adding five rebounds and two assists. Randy Smith contributed 16 points, hitting four triples, and added four assists and four steals. Kenneth Brayboy was a key spark off the bench, scoring 14 points and grabbing eight rebounds in just 17 minutes, while Bronson Borlace went a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, adding 10 points and eight rebounds.
Despite a spirited second-half effort from Victory Rock Prep, who outscored the Sharks 52-42 after the break, the early deficit proved insurmountable. Harrison Long led Victory Rock with 16 points, while Steve Brown added 17 points and nine rebounds.
The Sharks now turn their heads to #17 ranked Monroe University who they'll face tomorrow.
