JCC's Season Concludes in Regional Semifinal

SANBORN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's basketball season came to an end on Saturday afternoon, with a 97-76 loss in the Region 3 semifinals to host SUNY Niagara.

JCC gave the #1 seeded Thunderwolves a good fight early, trailing by just five at 38-33 late in the first half.

It was the usual suspects doing the damage for the Jayhawks: Marcus Wynter scored 15, Tamir Barrant and Federico Foddai each poured in 13, while Travis Castro added eleven. A good showing from the group of freshmen.

Unfortunately for Jamestown, Niagara quickly opened a double-digit lead in the second half as they went up 49-39 less than four minutes into the frame.

The deficit hit 20 less than eight minutes later, and JCC couldn't dig out of that hole.

The Jayhawks finished the season with a 5-24 overall record.
