#25 Indians & #3 Raiders renew rivalry on the diamond
NWF will host on Monday before the series moves to Marianna on Wednesday; both 9 inning games will start at 5 PM.
MARIANNA, Fla. – The #25 Chipola Indians (21-10; 2-0) and the #3 Northwest Florida State Raiders (19-5; 1-0) will meet on Monday & Wednesday in a key Panhandle Conference two-game series. Monday's game will be held in Niceville and then shift to Marianna on Wednesday. The first pitch for each game is set for 5 PM.

Chipola won their first two Panhandle games against Tallahassee State by run-rule, taking game one, 9-1, and game two, 12-3.
In game one, Miguel Hugas picked up the win on the mound to up his record to 6-1. He also had a solo HR (3) in the game. Josiah Seguin was 2-3 at the plate with a triple & 3 RBI. His single scored Chipola's 9th run to complete the run-rule victory.
The Indians found themselves down 3-1 after two innings at Eagle Field in Tallahassee. Chipola fought back and scored 11 unanswered runs, including 7 in the 4th, over the next five runs to take the 12-3 win in seven innings. Trenton Lape got the win on the mound to move to 2-1. Dallis Moran and Jacob Boland combined for 2.1 innings of hitless & scoreless relief.
Josiah Seguin was 3-5 with a pair of doubles and 3 RBI. Colin Guerra was 2-4, with a double and 2 RBI. JC Vanek finished the game 2 for 5 with a RBI. Zaid Diaz hit his 6th home run of the season which tied him for the team lead with Vanek. Cole Garner was 1-1 with 2 RBI, BB, SAC Bunt, & SAC fly.
Know Your Opponent
Northwest Florida scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth and a single run in the ninth to walkoff Gulf Coast State, 5-4, in both teams' conference opener. Saturday's game was rained out and when it could not be made up on Sunday due to the wet conditions, it was moved to Tuesday, March 11.
Panhandle Conference
Pensacola State (12-8; 0-0) and #12 Gulf Coast (16-5; 0-1) will also be in action on Monday and Wednesday. Monday's game will take place in Panama City before moving to Pensacola on Wednesday. First pitch for both games is at 5 PM. Tallahassee has the conference bye.
