HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Men's Basketball Coach Josh Clark on the night as a whole:
"Have to credit DMACC," Clark said. "Our gameplan tonight was switching up defenses and as a team they shoot 33-percent on the year, but tonight they shot 57-percent in the first half and 53-percent in the second half. We talked about it early and they countered. They shot better from three than they did from two. We didn't quit and kept fighting. We'll look to get back on track Saturday against another ranked opponent in NIACC."
Clark on what to expect from No. 20 NIACC on Saturday:
"They are a tough team and have a really good point guard who is one of the best in our conference," Clark said. "They shoot the ball well. We have to have pride in our defense and shut teams down. We have to get some stops and take pride in it. With eight games to go, we can go on a run. Things can turn around. We've been close and the guys are working hard."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will head to No. 20 North Iowa Area Community College for a contest at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mason City, Iowa.
