The Bears will travel to Hammond, Louisiana to take on the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears at Southeastern University on Tuesday February 4, 2025. 

First Pitch is set for 6:00 pm at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.

  • Baton Rouge played San Jacinto in a three-game series on January 31-February 1 in Baton Rouge. The Bears were swept by the Ravens, 15-0, 13,4 and 13-3. 

  • Southwest Mississippi played a three-game series on January 31- February 1 against Southern Arkansas University Tech in Summit. The Bears took 2 of 3 from the Rockets, winning 7-2 and 13-3 and losing 5-1.

  • Baton Rouge leads the all-time series record with 26 wins and 16 losses. This will be the 40th meeting between the two ball clubs. 

  • These two teams first meet on February 19, 2005, when the two teams split a doubleheader. Southwest Mississippi won game one 7-4 and Baton Rouge won game two 11-4. 

  • The last meeting between the two teams was February 14, 2024 when Baton Rouge would win game one 8-1 and Southwest would win game two 8-4.
