Feb. 26 – Three Rivers Community College at Poplar Bluff
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. – The State Fair Community College Roadrunners fell 63-40 to Three Rivers Community College in a Region 16 and Missouri Community College Athletic Conference matchup Tuesday, Feb. 26.
SFCC trailed 12-8 with less than 12 minutes left in the first half. Three Rivers extended the lead to 22-10 with under eight minutes to halftime and went into the break ahead 35-16 in a defensive battle.
SFCC trimmed the deficit to 47-29 with about 11 minutes remaining and later went on a 6-0 run to make it 52-38 with six minutes left. However, Three Rivers kept control and sealed the win.
The Roadrunners shot 30% from the field and made just one of 13 three-point attempts while committing 22 turnovers.
Sophomore forward Sam Bradford of Houston, Texas, led SFCC with 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Sophomore guard Alex Gunnels of Kansas City had a team-high four assists. Sophomore forward Chin Hanson of Chicago led SFCC with three blocks.

March 1 – Missouri State University-West Plains at Sedalia
SEDALIA, Mo. – SFCC (17-12, 3-9 Region 16) wrapped up the regular season with a 73-60 win over Missouri State University-West Plains on Saturday, March 1, at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
The Roadrunners took an 11-2 lead in the opening minutes and never trailed. SFCC led 39-28 at halftime and held West Plains to just 32 second-half points to secure the victory.
Sophomore guard/forward Jon Brandtner of Cape Girardeau led SFCC with 25 points, shooting 5-of-8 from beyond the arc. Gunnels added 18 points and a team-high nine assists. Bradford contributed 15 points and a team-best four steals. Hanson pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
"It was great for our sophomores to be able to win on sophomore night," head coach Matt Brown said. "Now we shift our focus to what is ahead in the postseason."
SFCC honored its sophomores at halftime of the Lady Roadrunners' game against Crowder College and recognized longtime basketball statistician Cathy Hemme.
