
Central Florida shuts Saints Down
Santa Fe College gets beat in 5 innings on Thursday afternoon.

Santa Fe made the trip to Ocala for the start of a three-game series versus Central Florida. The Saints fell in game one 11-1. Central Florida used a nine-run third inning to propel their way to a win in just five innings. CF scored one in the second and one in the bottom of the fifth inning to score their final two runs of the game, while SF hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning for their solo run of the game.
Erik Blair was the man to drive in the only run of the game with a sac fly. Carlos Garcia was the only Saint to have a hit in the ball game. Chase Chappell got the Thursday afternoon start, but just survived 2.2 innings, allowing nine runs, while walking three and allowing six hits. Brady Wright and Mitchell Marlowe both made appearances in the loss.
Santa Fe will host Central Florida on Saturday at noon for games two and three of the series.
