
The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Basketball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule with two games at Rock Valley (IL), beating Highland (IL) 70-36 before falling to host Rock Valley 74-64.
In the win over Highland the Golden Rams shot 40 percent while holding Highland to just 22 percent overall and 2 of 21 from the three-point line.
Sydney Hazuga scored 23 points, making 5 of 13 threes and all four free throw attempts.
O'Ciana Johnson tallied 12 points while hauling in 14 rebounds.
Mariam Alowonie scored eight points to go with ten rebounds, and Jada Lussier had a solid all-around game with nine points, seven assists, and six rebounds.
In the loss to Rock Valley, the Golden Rams struggled with ball security, turning it over 27 times.
Hazuga led the scoring with 19 points, and Alowonie added 18 points.
Johnson chipped in with 13 points.
The Golden Rams start MCAC Southern Division play on Wednesday when they travel to Ridgewater.
