Santa Fe played host to St. Petersburg on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville.
Gainesville, FL
Santa Fe (7-12, 2-3) used all 45 minutes in the ball game to walk away with an 81-80 win in overtime. A nine-point overtime period ended the ball game in dramatic fashion. Karmello Branch made the free throw to send the game to overtime and the free throw to win the game with less than a second left in the game.
Branch led the game with 24 points. Branch made four from behind the arc, while shooting 6/8 from the charity stripe. The Saint shad four players in double figures. Predrag Panisic had 16 points in the game, knocking in three triples, while Connor Morris had 15-points all from behind the arc. Ryan Webster used his ability to get to the basket with 12-points, non from behind the three-point line.
