
The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team dominated the Avila University Varsity Reserve team, 114-57 Jan. 27 at MCC-Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo. This marks the first time in the 2024-25 season that every active player scored a point in a single game.
Both Camron Williford and Darren McHenry finished with a team-high 15 points as Williford went for a perfect 4-4 in the second half. Tamir Anderson finished with a career-high 14 points as he went 4-7 from three point land. Jackson Flowers was the last Blue Devil to finish in double figures as he dropped 10 points and brought down four rebounds. Ta'Veaion Washington was the only Blue Devil who shot perfect from the floor as he went 4-4 and 1-1 from the free throw line. BJ Stewart finished with a team-high six rebounds and seven points. The Blue Devils have now won four straight and will look to take down two KJCCC opponents later this week who are both under a .500 winning percentage.
For the game, the Blue Devils shot 44-83 from the field (53%), 15-32 from three-point range (46.9%) and 11-12 from the free-throw line (91.7%). The Eagles shot 20-67 from the field (29.9%), 9-33 from three-point range (27.3%) and 8-11 from the free-throw line (72.7%).
The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Allen Community College Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Jan.29 at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan.
