
Saints Pick Up First Conference Win
Hillsborough traveled to Gainesville for the first matchup with Santa Fe of the season.

Santa Fe used clutch free throw shooting and timely shots to take a 63-59 win over Hillsborough Community College. The Hawks started the night off with a lead and kept it through a majority of the first half; however, Karmello Branch hit a three pointer at the buzzer to tie things up at 29. A strong first five minutes from Hillsborough gave the Hawks a lead, but the Saints stormed back to tie things late in the second half. Clutch free throw shooting and timely shots for the Saints led them to their first conference victory.
The Saints were led by Branch with 21 points, knocking in two from behind the arc and a trio of three-point plays off fouls. Ryan Webster was the second Saint player in double figure with 13 points. Webster knocked in two three pointers on the night.
Santa Fe is back in action on Saturday at Polk State College with a 2:00 PM tip-off.
