The opening 20 minutes set the tone for a competitive matchup. Miami Dade trailed 30-29 at the half, with Faheim Saintleger Meran leading the charge. He scored 12 of his game-high 21 points in the first half, showcasing his scoring versatility by hitting both from deep and at the rim.
Central Georgia Technical's Roosevelt Brown dominated on the offensive end, putting up 17 points before halftime, supported by relentless rebounding that kept his team ahead.
The Sharks bounced back in the second half, with clutch contributions from Ernesto Rodriguez, who scored all nine of his points after halftime. A late surge helped Miami Dade outscore Central Georgia Technical 25-24 in the second frame, forcing the game into overtime tied at 54.
In the extra period, the Sharks' offense sputtered, managing just seven points on 2-for-8 shooting. Meanwhile, Roosevelt Brown continued his dominant performance, scoring six of his 31 points in overtime to seal the win for Central Georgia Technical.
Miami Dade struggled with shooting efficiency, hitting just 32.8% from the field and 26.7% from three-point range. Central Georgia Technical fared slightly better at 35.8% but capitalized on Miami Dade's 11 turnovers and maintained a slight rebounding edge, 43-41.
The Sharks now take a couple of days off before hosting Palm Beach State at home on December 4th.
