
The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team took down the Hesston College Larks on the road, 92-52 Jan. 25. Camron Williford boosted the Blue Devils with 15 points and shooting 8-13 from the free throw line.
Pierce Ross had an impressive first half shooting 6-11 from the floor, 2-3 from behind the arc, three rebounds and 14 points. He would finish the game with a team-high 18 points. BJ Stewart finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds as he recorded his second double double in the past four games. Jeremiah Lewis came off the bench and scored 14 points and brought down four rebounds. Camron Williford had a team-high four assists and two steals. O'shawn Jones-Winslow shot 4-7 from the floor and finished with eight points and five rebounds. The Blue Devils have now won three in a row and will look to remain in second place in the KJCCC.
For the game, the Blue Devils shot 37-81 from the field (45.7%), 12-29 from three-point range (41.4%) and 6-8 from the free-throw line (75%). The Larks shot 18-68 from the field (26.5%), 3-29 from three-point range (10.3%) and 13-18 from the free-throw line (72.2%).
The next game for the Blue Devils is against the Avila University JV team at 7 p.m. Jan.27 at MCC-Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo.
