
HENDERSON, Ark. – The Indians got back in the win column with a 3-0 win over Williams Baptist University on Tuesday in three sets (25-17; 26-24; 26-24).
After winning the first set, 25-17, the Indians (7-7, 0-0 MACCC) completed the sweep over the Eagles (4-12) in hard-fought, 26-24, sets.
Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) led ICC with 13 kills as McLaine Dorr (Gluckstadt) added 10 and Sadie Stegall (Pontotoc), seven.
On the serve, Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) recorded a team-best 11 digs, and Pendleton added 10 to the stat sheet. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) led the Indians with 22 digs while Pendleton had 13.
Up next, the Indians will be back on the road on Wednesday, Sept. 18, for a 5 p.m. showdown with Bevill State in Fayette, Ala.
