COLBY, Kan. - Colby Community College's women's basketball team got back in the win column in impressive fashion. A home win, 77-58, was a hard-fought effort against an excellent Cloud County Community College team.
The Trojans built on their always-stingy team defense and found the groove on the offensive end. Cloud would put together several runs, but the Trojans held their composure and found a way to increase their lead with a big fourth-quarter run to pull away.
"Cloud is always good, and their tradition runs deep. I saw our group mature during the game, learning lessons from the past two games against Hutch and Garden City. When we are locked in, we have a chance in any game. It was good to see us hold our composure and be poised the entire game." Stated Coach Spence.
The Trojans are back at home on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00 PM CT, as they host the high-scoring Cowley College Tigers.
