AACC (12-2-1) won the NJCAA Region 20 Division II championship at home on November 2, defeating College of Southern Maryland, 3-2. Makenzie Boyd, Emma Miga, Tina Tinelli, and Eden Abey were named to the All-Tournament Team.

AACC enters Friday's game on an eight-game winning streak, the longest since the 2014 season when the then-Division III Riverhawks won the District H title and placed sixth at the NJCAA Championships.

Freshman forward Emma Miga, who has played in 11 of 15 games for AACC this season, leads the Riverhawks in points (35), goals (13), and assists (9), ranking third in Region 20 in both points and assists; and fifth in goals.

The Riverhawks have limited opponents to 1.13 goals per game with six shutout victories. The back line of Tina Tinelli, Eden Abey, and Megan Strevig have held opponents to just 9.8 shots per game.

Péla Saunders leads Region 20 in goals allowed (4), goals against average (0.58), and save percentage (.867). Saunders has recorded three shutouts in her 7-0-0 record.

AACC last met Mercer in 2014, a 4-0 Riverhawks win at Siegert Field. The winner of Friday's East District championship earns an automatic bid to the 2024 NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championships, November 17-23, at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
