Men's Basketball Back in Action Monday

BROOKHAVEN MEN's BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven men's basketball returns to the court Monday when the Bears host Loyalty College Prep at 4 p.m. in the last nonconference game of the season.

The Bears (4-15) will begin the second round of Dallas Athletic Conference play Jan. 18 at league frontrunner Dallas College Richland. Brookhaven's next home DAC game is scheduled for Jan. 25 against Dallas College Cedar Valley.

Brookhaven has three players averaging double figures in scoring. Sophomore guard Zach Gomez (11.4 points per game), freshman guard Brandon Webber (10.4) and freshman swingman Jeremy Roman (10.2) account for 45.6 percent of the Bears' scoring at the midway point of the season. Roman averages 5.8 rebounds per game. Webber is averaging 1.7 steals per game. Gomez is just under four rebounds per game, while coming away with a steal per contest.

The Bears outrebounded their DAC opponents by six boards per game in the first round of league play.
