"There were two good basketball teams on the floor tonight," said Roadrunners Head Coach Matt Brown. "We were missing a couple of players tonight. I'm excited for January when we have our whole team. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M is a good basketball team. We have one more game to go this semester and hopefully we can have everyone back before we start next semester."
Dec. 10 William Woods University Junior Varsity at Sedalia
SFCC (12-3) closed the semester with a 94-42 victory over William Woods University Junior Varsity inside the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on Tuesday night, Dec. 10.
The Roadrunners led 19-5 with about 12 minutes remaining in the opening half. SFCC extended the advantage to 46-23 at halftime. The Roadrunners turned up the defensive intensity to allow only 19 points in the second half.
"We got a chance to get some other guys some minutes," said Brown. "Sam Bradford hasn't played that much. You can see he is going to be a good player. Timothy Palmer got to play a lot of minutes. Malick Ndiaye got to play. The whole purpose was to get guys minutes, and it worked out perfectly for Sam who has only played in a few games all year. It was a good semester for us. I like our team when we get Jon Brandtner and Donovan Matthews back, with the team we have, we are going to be a good team. We will take a 12-3 record at the break."
Bradford led the team in scoring with 23 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Palmer contributed 13 points and a team-high four blocked shots. Garza added 12 points. Ndiaye pitched in with 11 points. Gunnels and Davis led the team lead in assists with four. Mobley led the team in steals with four.
