Seahawks Sweep Weekend Road Trip

NORTH EAST - Cecil College men's basketball grabbed back-to-back Region 20 Division 2 victories this weekend, trouncing Southern Maryland on Saturday and besting Garrett on Sunday.

The Seahawks have now won five straight games. They bost a 15-6 record overall and are 5-2 against R20 D2 opponents.

Cecil 109, Southern Maryland 67 - Box Score

Cecil scored a season high 109 points en route to a blowout win over the Southern Maryland Hawks. It's the program's highest total since their 111-point showing against Anne Arundel back in December 2022.

All 12 active Seahawks scored at least a point in the affair. Jamariez Corley-Scott blasted off for a career best 29 points, including a 7-for-7 clip from the free throw line. Shaun Chandler led Cecil with eight rebounds, while Amir Hited topped the team with five assists. 

Cecil 83, Garrett 75 - Box Score

Cecil took an early lead and never looked back, defeating Garrett in a much closer bout on Sunday afternoon.

Jermaine Goodwyn topped the Seahawks after an 18-point showing. Jaiden Guy just missed out on a double-double after recording 15 points and eight boards. Javon Jenkins led Cecil's bench with 13 points.
