No. 15 Trojans fall to DMACC, 81-61
BOONE - The No. 15 NIACC women's basketball team dropped an 81-61 decision to DMACC Saturday in an ICCAC contest.
DMACC (10-5 overall, 3-2 in ICCAC) led 45-25 at the half and the Bears held on for the 20-point victory. Whitney Jensen led the Bears with 16 points and Joy Beran was next in line with 13 points.
Sophomore Keeley Steele led the Trojans with a game-high 22 points, including three 3-point goals. Steele also collected five rebounds with one assist.
NIACC freshman Kelsey McDonough came off the bench to score eight points, including two 3-point goals. Sophomore Tori Miller and freshman Reggi Spotts both scored seven points.
Miller led the Trojans with nine rebounds. Spotts grabbed seven rebounds with three assists.
NIACC (12-4, 3-3) returns to action Wednesday in an ICCAC contest against Iowa Central in Fort Dodge. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
