Region XV DII Women's Basketball Championship

On Sunday March 2nd the SUNY Orange Colts took on the Generals of Sullivan County Community College for the DII Women's Basketball Region XV Championship. The winner of this game will advance to the District Championship where they would take on the Thundercats of SUNY Niagara on Saturday March 8th.
Going into this contest the two teams have faced off twice this season with the Colts falling to the Generals on both occasions. The Colts played the Generals in their second game of the season where they traveled to Sullivan County Community College back on Nov. 14th. The Colts then would host the Generals on Feb. 4th as the Colts celebrated their Sophomore day.
To begin this contest the Colts found themselves trailing for the start of quarter one.
In the first half of play the Colts had their troubles scoring the ball, with a combined score of 13 points the Colts were trailing 41-13 after the first half of play.
In this game against the Generals the Colts were defeated by a score of 69-38. Despite the loss SUNY Orange Colts So. Victoria Harrison and So. Alexis Aquino were named Region XV DII Women's Basketball All-Tournament.
- Victoria finished tied as the Colts and led the way in assists as she finished with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Alexis finished as the teams leader in rebounds and blocks. Finishing with four points, eight rebounds four blocks and an assist.
-Top Performers-
Sisters Olivia and Victoria Harrison led the way for the Colts in points as they finished tied with 11 points each.
The Freshman Forward #10 Olivia Harrison finished with 11 points and six rebounds while leading the team in made free throws by going 3/4 from the line.
So. Guard #23 Victoria Harrison finished with 11 points and led the way in assists for the Colts with two. Victoria also added four rebounds and two steals to her night
So. Center #44 Alexis Aquino had been a defensive prowess for the entire season and continued her success. Aquino finished with four points scored while adding a team high eight rebounds and four blocks to her great outing.
With this loss the SUNY Orange Colts 2024-25 season has come to an end.
