Even though the FSCJ Manta Rays collected six hits compared to Lake-Sumter State College's five, they still fell 2-0 on Saturday at FSCJ North Campus. Logan Disbrow led the Manta Rays with two hits. Both teams had strong pitching performances, with Lake-Sumter State College pitchers striking out four and FSCJ Manta Rays' pitchers recording eight strikeouts.
Lake-Sumter State College took the lead in the third inning when Villaman singled to right field and Blackburn grounded out, each bringing in a run. Johnson secured the win for Lake-Sumter State College, allowing six hits and no runs over seven innings while striking out four and walking one. Keegan Roach took the loss for FSCJ Manta Rays, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on four hits while striking out six and walking four.
