Lady Pirates Run Away From Reid State
The Pirates picked up another home win Wednesday night with a 98-42 dismantling of the Reid State College Lions.

The Pirates picked up another home win Wednesday night with a 98-42 dismantling of the Reid State College Lions.
The Reid State squad, which came into the contest with only one game played for the newly started program, found themselves overmatched against the Pirates. Pensacola State led 57-18 at the halftime break and continued to dominate the Lions in the second half to get the 56-point victory.
Freshman forward, Mariah Miller, led all scorers with a game-high 25 points. Jaida McDonald continued her stellar play adding another 18 points and eight rebounds. Nautica Bouie had 15 points with six assists, five steals, and five rebounds. Akeelah Bryan and Audreonia Benson contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively. Talia Kemp recorded a season-high 13 assists for the Pirates.
Aniyah and Zaynia Tucker paced the Lions with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Next Up: Pensacola State (7-2) will have over a week off before hosting their annual Thanksgiving Classic on November 29-30. Classic matchups will be as follows:
November 29, 2024 – Northwest Florida State vs Bishop State at 1:00pm; Mississippi Gulf Coast vs Pensacola State at 3:00pm.
