BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Lakers put together a strong all-around performance, controlling the boards and shooting an impressive 60% from the field to secure a key conference win. Anthony Torres (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) led the offensive charge with 18 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, setting the tone for a balanced scoring attack.
Kellen Foster (Newark, N.Y./Newark) continued his efficient play, finishing with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Brian Whitley (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) dominated the interior with a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double, also adding 2 assists and 6 blocks. Bruce Wilder Jr. (Rochester, N.Y./Fairport) contributed 8 points and 7 rebounds, while Joe Caito (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) rounded out the evening with 11 rebounds and a game-high 5 blocks.
Finger Lakes controlled the paint, with 14 offensive rebounds leading to extra possessions, while their defense held Broome in check to just 52 points.
