Cedres and Quiles Offensive Surge Not Enough vs Del Tech

Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Men's Basketball team lost a close conference game Tuesday night at home, 96-92 to Del Tech. The Wolverines fell behind early and mounted a come back cutting the deficit to single digits, but could not come up with enough key stops to pull the game through. The Wolverines who traded baskets with Del Tech late in the game, were led by Shane Cedres with 30 points and Johnathan Quiles II with 31 points. Essex would go on to shoot 64% from the field, but also allow their opponents to shoot 57.1%.

Ethan Laquindanum chipped in with 17 points and 4 assists.

The Wolverines (3-10) return to action Thursday night at Rockland Community College, with a 7pm tipoff scheduled before ending the year Saturday at Raritan with a 2pm tipoff.
