
Saints Fall to St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg traveled to Gainesville for the conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Santa Fe (7-14, 3-8) played host to St. Petersburg (3-19, 1-10) on Saturday afternoon falling 56-50 in 40 minutes of action. Both teams threw punches back and forth through the first half. The Titans took an early lead 17-14 lead after the first quarter. A slow second quarter took things to the break at 21-18. Offenses picked up in the second half as St. Petersburg took a 13-point lead in the third quarter and led by 12 going into the fourth quarter. The Saints applied the pressure in the fourth quarter cutting the lead to just three points with 3:15 left in the ball game. The late effort wasn't enough as St. Pete held on with late free throws to take the six-point victory.
Sanat Fe was led by Yanija Lawson with a 14-point performance. Micah Hannah added eleven points and Ta'Niya Walker added ten points. The Saints made just one three-point basket on the afternoon.
Santa Fe is back in action on Wednesday January 29th at Florida SouthWestern, tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM in Fort Myers, Florida.
