Jayhawks Fall to Hot Shooting Lansing Team
MCC Lost to LCC In One Sided Affair
December 10, 2024
The Jayhawks fell to the Lansing Community College Stars 100-76 Monday night in Lansing, moving their record to 6-4. The Jayhawks were hoping to avenge their loss from Saturday against nationally ranked Kalamazoo Valley Community College, but star player Zander Woodruff was on fire, finishing the game with a ridiculous 47 points and nine rebounds. The Jayhawks went down early to Lansing and trailed 58-37 at halftime. Unfortunately, the Jayhawks were never able to produce enough offense to close the gap between themselves and the fast-paced Stars and Muskegon was outscored in both halves. Sophomore Will Chye led the Jayhawks in the scoring column, finishing with 22 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Kevon Washington added 19 points. The Jayhawks have time to rest up before their next game against another formidable opponent in Kellogg Community College. Their matchup against Kellogg will take place on Tuesday, December 17th at the Miller Building Gymnasium in Battle Creek, Michigan. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
