
The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team fell to the North Platte Community College Knights, 69-57 Dec.13 at MCC-Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo. The women's basketball team will enter 2025 with an overall record of 9-7. The first game of the conference schedule will be against Labette on Jan.11.
Zoe Clark finished the year on fire as she had a career-high 20 points with 11 rebounds. That makes six consecutive games that she has finished in double figures. Capri Garrett also brought down 11 rebounds and finished the night with nine points and five blocks. Over the last two games, the St. Louis native has had 11 blocks. Bennett Peck had eight points and Samaire Slusarek had six. Destiny Ochs came off the bench and went 3-4 from the floor finishing with seven points and three rebounds. The thing that hurt the Blue Devils the most was turnovers. As a team, they added up for 36 total turnovers, the most all year.
For the game, the Lady Blue Devils shot 17-44 from the field (38.6%), 3-13 from three-point range (23.1%) and 20-30 from the free-throw line (66.7%). The Knights shot 29-75 from the field (38.7%), 4-12 from three-point range (33.3%) and 7-17 from the free-throw line (41.2%).
