Apaches End Regular Season Strong with WIN over Klilgore
Kilgore, TX – The TJC Apaches secured an important victory over Kilgore College, defeating the Rangers 62-54 in a game that helped lock up their spot in the upcoming Region XIV tournament. With the win, the Apaches are now set as the #7 seed and will face the tenth seed Bossier Parish in the tournament's opening round on March 11 at 6 PM.
Strong Start and Consistent Play
The Apaches came out with a strong first-half performance, leading Kilgore 30-20 at the break. Despite a more competitive second half, where Kilgore outscored TJC 34-32, the Apaches' early lead proved to be enough to hold off a late surge by the Rangers.
Chris Uwayo Jr. led the way for the Apaches with a clutch performance, scoring 16 points on 1-of-9 shooting from the field, but more importantly, he converted 13 of his 14 free throws, helping his team hold steady throughout the game.
