
SF Picks Up Big Road Win
Santa Fe traveled to Hillsborough Community College on Monday evening and picked up a much-needed win before their final game of 2024 on Wednesday night.

Santa Fe (7-7, 3-2) went on the road Monday evening to take on a solid Hillsborough Community College (8-5, 2-3) team. The Saints walked away with a 67-64 win. Both offenses started slow, and the score was knotted at 7-7 after the first quarter. However, the offense picked up fort HCC as they scored 24 points in the second quarter to take an eight-point lead into the halftime break. The Saints chipped away in both the third and fourth quarter out scoring the Hawks four points in the third quarter and seven points in the final period to bring home the win.
Riana Callihan and Yanija Lawson led an extremely balanced offense attack with 11 points each. Aniyah Anderson added 10 points, Nakayla Green added nine, and three players added eight.
Coach Russ Jackson stated, "I'm very proud of the fight that the young ladies showed tonight, we didn't play our best, but we played gritty and that made all the difference today."
The Saints are back in action on Wednesday night in Gainesville versus Eastern Florida State College at 5:30 PM.
