Lady Roadrunners fall at Moberly
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners basketball team (14-2, 0-1 in Region 16) opened their Region 16 schedule with a 69-59 road loss to the Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners basketball team (14-2, 0-1 in Region 16) opened their Region 16 schedule with a 69-59 road loss to the Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The game was also part of the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference schedule for both teams.
The game was a close with several lead changes throughout. SFCC led 11-10 with less than five minutes remaining in the first quarter and ended the quarter tied at 22.
SFCC led the game 30-26 after sophomore guard Kimora McClure converted an old-fashioned three-point play. The Lady Roadrunners led the game 34-31 with less than five minutes remaining in the second quarter.
The Lady Greyhounds came back to take a 40-36 lead to the locker room at halftime. The Lady Greyhounds pushed their advantage to 48-40 in the third quarter Moberly led 54-48 at the end the third quarter. Moberly made the plays in the final quarter secure the victory.
Freshman forward Ellie Buscher had a solid all-around game with 11 points (tied for the team lead) in scoring along with freshman guard Malia Rodgers. Buscher pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and led the team with four steals. Sophomore guard Madison Johnson dished out a team-high six assists.
