Men's basketball wins big over West Academy, 92-56

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team had a record-breaking night against West Academy. The Eagles won 92-56.

The game was close throughout the first half, but the Eagles were able to pull ahead and held an 18 point lead at halftime.

Emory Oxford was able to find success due to rebounds and first-years Leo Etah and Ved Desai. Etah scored a career-high 30 points with 13 rebounds. Desai also had a career night with a double-double with 26 points and 20 rebounds. He had five assists as well. First-year Samuel Chin had 13 rebounds and just missed out on a double-double with nine points. First-year Tyler Pavlik scored 10 points for the Eagles.

Overall, the team had a single game team high of 70 rebounds (54 defensive and 16 offensive).

Emory Oxford is now 4-4 this season.

The Eagles will face New Rock Prep White in the team's next game on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at home. Game time is 7 p.m.
