#18 Red Ravens Take Care of Business With a 74-58 Defeat of Seward

Coffeyville, Kan. - The #18 NJCAA-ranked Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team took care of business and defeated the last-placed Seward Saints 74-58.  With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their overall 2025 record to 21-7 which includes a 17-5 KJCCC record.  The 17-5 KJCCC record currently has the Ravens in second place in the 13-team KJCCC Div I conference.

Coffeyville came out of the gates strong as they built up a big first-half lead, leading the Saints 38-20 at halftime.  Coffeyville kept up the pressure in the second half not allowing Seward any room to mount a comeback which eventually allowed the Ravens to earn the 74-58 victory.

Coffeyville shot an excellent 55% (27-49) overall for the night while also shooting 55% (10-18) from behind the arc.  In contrast, Seward shot 41% overall and 22% from behind the arc.

Game leaders for Coffeyville included sophomore guard Brian Griffith with 26 points who continued his strong play for Coffeyville, sophomore guard Justin Taylor with 16 points and freshman forward Daniel Ntambwe with 12 points and 8 rebounds.

Coffeyville looks to close strong over its final two regular-season games to earn a bye in the opening round of the Region 6/KJCCC Tournament. The top four spots in the KJCCC standings earn byes in the opening round.

Coffeyville will travel to Dodge City Kansas on Saturday, March 1st as they are scheduled to play the Conquistadors of Dodge City.  Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
