The Yetis fought hard in multiple matches, securing standout individual achievements along the way. Notably, several players received prestigious awards in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Match 1: Cleveland Community vs. Pitt Community College (November 1, 2024)
The Yetis came out strong against Pitt Community College, securing a decisive 3-0 victory. Cleveland Community dominated each set with scores of 25-15, 25-15, and 25-22, exhibiting efficient attacks and a solid defense. Sara Rose Warlick led the offense with an impressive 15 kills, hitting at a .324 percentage, while Aziyah Rudisill added 11 kills at a .421 clip. The Yetis' serving also played a critical role, with 15 aces contributing to their 3-set sweep over Pitt.
Match 2: Cleveland Community vs. Cape Fear Community College (November 2, 2024)
In an intense five-set showdown, the Yetis triumphed over Cape Fear Community College with a final score of 3-2 (15-25, 24-26, 28-26, 25-23, 15-11). The match featured significant contributions from Warlick and Rudisill, who combined for 30 kills. Rudisill led with 18 kills at a .293 hitting percentage, while Warlick contributed 12 kills. Swink's 47 assists and 21 digs highlighted her all-around play, while Daniela Castillo's impressive 20 digs anchored the defense.
Match 3: Cleveland Community vs. Richard Bland College (November 2, 2024)
The Yetis faced a challenging opponent in tournament hosts Richard Bland College, ultimately falling 0-3 (18-25, 23-25, 19-25). Despite the loss, Cleveland players put forth a strong effort. Sara Rose Warlick and Daniela Castillo were named to the All-Tournament Team, acknowledging their pivotal roles in the Yetis' competitive showing. Warlick also received the Regional 2nd Team All-Region honor for her performance throughout the season. Aziyah Rudisill was recognized on the 1st Team All-Region, where she also holds the second-highest points total for the season in the region.
