
SF Uses a Late Push to Pick Up Road Win
Santa Fe trailed heading into the fourth quarter but used the late push to come out on top.

Santa Fe (5-5, 1-0) knocked off St. Petersburg (0-10, 0-2) on the road Wednesday night 65-63 for their first conference win of the season. The Saints went into the halftime break with a seven-point lead after outscoring the Titans 17-10 in the second quarter. However, a 19-10 Titan advantage put the Saints at a disadvantage going into the final 10 minutes. The fourth quarter was a high-scoring quarter, in which Santa Fe outscored St. Pete 25-21, pushing the Saints back into the win column.
Santa Fe had three players in double figures and eight players in the scoring column. Ta'Niya Walker had a season-high 13 points. This week's FCSAA Player of the Week Yanija Lawson also scored 13 points in the win. Aniyah Anderson was the third Saint in double figures with 12 points.
Santa Fe is back in action Saturday afternoon in Gainesville against Miami Dade College at 2:00 PM.
