West Windsor, NJ - Brookdale softball dropped two games to the DII Mercer County Community College Vikings, 2-1, 13-3.
In the tight and unfortunate, 2-1, first game loss, the Jersey Blues were getting hits left and right, literally, with ten total hits to the Vikings' four, but they just couldn't transfer those hits to runs.
Sophomore catcher, Jessica Fay, provided the sole RBI for Brookdale in her 1-for-3 at bats. Freshman, Jules Hart, threw tough for a solid 8.0 innings, allowing only three hits and struck out eight batters.
Jessica Fay materialized two RBI's off of her triple in game-two and freshman second baseman, Mya Bonilla, added an RBI hit in the 13-3 loss.
Brookdale (19-7) will be home for their next Region 19 challenge against the Northampton Community College Spartans on Tuesday, April 15th, at 3:30pm.
