Viking men cruise past Lake Michigan
GOCC claims men's basketball road win.
Five Glen Oaks Community College players reached double figures Saturday in a 77-58 men's basketball win at Lake Michigan College.
Darrius Roach led the way with a 16-point effort, and Amauri Moore and Aaron Humphrey both piled up 15 points in the win. Taurus Baugh helped the Vikings remain firmly in control in the second half as he scored 11 of his 13 points throughout the last 20 minutes. Moore was also particularly effective in the second half with 11 points and Mike Phillips saw all of his 11 points come in the second half. Akin Smith added seven points for GOCC, which improved to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in MCCAA Western Conference play.
The Vikings were 14-for-25 from the free-throw line and LMC finished 11-for-19. Full game stats were not available at the time of publication.
Glen Oaks travels to Kellogg Wednesday, Jan. 22 for a 7:30 p.m. contest against the Bruins.
