Westmoreland Splits Doubleheader with Allegany College of Maryland

The wolfpack travel to Allegany College of Maryland on Sunday for a Region 20 doubleheader. This was the second of a three date road trip for Westmoreland. 

In game one, Westmoreland fell behind early as Allegany College of Maryland scored six runs in the first inning. The wolfpack would hold the Trojans scoreless in the next two innings, but give up four runs in the fourth. Westmoreland would go on to lose game one by a score of 10-0. The wolfpack struggled from the plate and accorded only one hit. The hit came from centerfielder Brady Stivenson.

In game two, the wolfpack again found themselves down after the first inning by a score of 2-0. But they would bounce back in the top of the second inning and score three runs to take the lead. The Trojans would score two runs in the bottom of the third and the wolfpack would score one run in the top of the fourth to tie the game at four apiece after four innings. Westmoreland broke the game open scoring four runs in the top of the fifth to regain the lead. They would hold strong the remaining innings and go on to win the game by a score of 8-6. Designated hitter, Dylan Stonebreaker led the way for the wolfpack with two hits and three RBIs.
